Here's what we've been up to this past week.
One of my favorite breakfasts/lunches lately.... peanut butter toast with bananas and honey.

Crunchy Cornmeal & Semolina bread - I use whole wheat flour in place of the AP, skip the sesame seeds, and quadruple the recipe so that I can put some bread in the freezer. It's a great bread and makes fantastic toast.
My dessert the other night... strawberries, coconut milk, and a drizzle of honey.
We don't have a grill. Sad, I know. I found a way to make hot dogs taste almost as good though. I simmered them in a pot of water for about 5 minutes then put them into a hot cast iron pan, turning them every minute or so until nice and dark brown.
Dirt pile + Water = Happy Kids
Happy toes
Making mud balls
Pouring water on a little man. He's "swimming".
Jon and I got the fill dirt seeded and put straw down. Now to keep it well watered so the grass grows!
I started a new dress/jumper for Charlotte this weekend.
Kid's lunch. My kids like to dip their grilled cheese in sour cream or pizza sauce. This day it was sour cream.
Charlotte's first completed knitting project! She was so proud. We were both surprised to see how it had grown as she knitted. She's apparently very good at increases. I could tell how much better her stitches got as she went on.
With the bottom edge being so much wider, we decided it would make a great doll skirt if I sewed it together.
It sure did!
She's already started on her second project. It's a soft pink doll scarf.

My goodness, in the pic of C sitting in the dirt pile, her legs look a mile long! That's a fabulous doll skirt!! Great job, Charlotte!
Oh, and your strawberry/cocomilk/honey dessert looks so good!
She got her long legs from you, Katie! :) She's taking the phrase "growing like a weed" to a new level. ;)
