School's Out For The Summer!

I'm always amazed at how much the kids grow from year to year.  I take a picture on the first and last day of school.
Charlotte on the first day of first grade.
Charlotte on the last day of first grade.  It's not the greatest picture since the sun was in her eyes.  I was stunned by how much she's grown this year.  I had to check the date on the first picture a few times to make sure I had the right year.   It's no wonder I have a hard time keeping her in clothes that fit!

Evan's first day of preschool this year.
Evan at the end of the school year.
He's losing that little boy look and starting to get that big boy look.   The changes in them are amazing.  I'm so glad I take these pictures each year.

To celebrate the end of the school year, we went out to Feeney's (a local frozen yogurt chain) for dinner.  Yes, frozen yogurt for dinner.  I can be wild every once in a while.
The cool thing about Feeney's is that it's a frozen yogurt bar. You do it all yourself. You fill your bowl with soft serve, you add whatever toppings you want, then you're charged by the ounce.   Above is Evan's creation.

Jon's tall tower of candy with a gummy bear standing guard on top.

Another great thing about Feeney's is that they always have a dairy-free sorbet as one of the choices so I don't have to miss out.  I got the tropical sorbet with walnuts, strawberries, pineapple, and coconut.  I only ate half of it because it was too sweet and I wasn't feeling great that night. It's not often I leave a dessert half eaten.

This is how Evan felt about his dinner/dessert.

Happy Summer Everyone!!
