Late June Harvest

I am so slow in posting harvest pictures lately. I picked these vegetables about 2 weeks ago when we got home from our Pennsylvania trip. A big bowl of green beans, 4 large kohlrabi, lots of broccoli, and a large bowl of snow peas that were too mature to eat whole.

I ended up shelling most of the snow peas and just keeping the peas inside.

I need to get back in the garden tomorrow because I think Jon's first jalapeno peppers are ready for harvest!

I've planted some parsnip seeds and covered them with a breathable landscape cloth hoping to keep them moist enough for them to germinate. I'm working on cleaning out beds that held spring crops and succession planting beans and zucchini. I can't wait for my green tomatoes to finally ripen. I'm ready for some BLT's!

That's a great harvest! I'm jealous of your peas!

I don't even have any tomatoes yet- green or any other color! Just a few flowers so far. I think we're headed toward another summer like last year: green tomato pickles, green tomato cake, fried green tomatoes... :)

Don't you just HATE spammers like above???

I love your garden's bounty Becky! That's a lot of value for your little investment! I can only imagine how many more vitamins those great and fresh homegrown veggies have! Aren't they just the best tasting? Yummy! I wish lima beans were more productive to grow because I am mad about their flavor right from the garden. Better than candy for sure! Way to go! Love you, Momma
