Virtual Garden Tour

After having a hot, dry start to spring, the garden is really taking off thanks to some much needed rain the past two weeks.

I thought it would be neat to take a video of the garden instead of posting 20 pictures of each thing.

So, here is the main garden....

And here is the back garden..

I wish the video quality was a little better so you could really see the plants but this gives you a general idea.

This weekend I'm planning to finish the back garden (plant hot weather plants, stake tomatoes, back fill potatoes) and to mulch both gardens.

I love the videos! Your peas look great. So does everything else, really. Your swiss chard is way bigger than mine. Mine are teeny right now. Your potatoes look great too!! Let me know how you like your kohlrabi, I've never grown it.

Thanks for the tour!

Enjoyed the video garden tour - they always give a better overall feel of a garden than static pictures can convey. It reminds me that I really am over due to do a spring video of my garden too.

Your hot and dry spring probably has a lot to do with why the cabbages and broccoli are not performing as well for you. We have the flip of that since our weather has been prolonged cool and wet - the brassicas and lettuces are flurishing and the heat lovers are all pouting.

Thanks for the videos....it's great to be able to have everything identified and some history on them. I have had a problem with my broccoli and canteloup seedlings being eaten. Rabbits? I can see you have a great start with your garden and I see some upcoming salads and peas and lots of future goodies! No zuchini?? You are the Queen of Zuchini!! Love, Momma

You are right. That is pretty neat. Your garden looks better than mine. Still raining and cool a lot here. Looking forward to some warmer weather in the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks everyone :)

Mom, I'm definitely going to plant zucchini :) It wouldn't be summer without zucchini coming out of my ears! LOL I'm going to plant it this weekend. I'm planting it late to hopefully have it ready for harvest between vacations this year instead of while we're gone :)
